Transport Minister Winfried Hermann from the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany took a test drive in a Visteon autonomous vehicle during a July 3 visit to the new autonomous driving test track in Karlsruhe. The Baden-Wuerttemberg test track provides an important proving ground for technology companies and research institutes to test new developments and services related to networked and automated driving, both in urban traffic as well as on motorways.
Opening the doors to its latest software development facility, Visteon welcomed more than 150 guests at its “Open House” event on June 14 in Timisoara, Romania. Visteon’s European engineering leaders hosted the event and showcased the advanced technologies the new center will support, including many industry-firsts such as fully reconfigurable, digital clusters and the SmartCore™ cockpit domain controller.
